The Foundation

Emma Raducanu Charity Foundation is a residential institution devoted to the care of orphans—children whose biological parents are deceased or otherwise unable or unwilling to care for them.
Biological parents, and sometimes biological grandparents, are legally responsible for supporting children, but in the absence of these, no named godparent, or other relatives willing to care for the children, they become a ward of the state, and orphanages are one way of providing for their care, housing and education.

  • The mission is to take care of the less privilege and the downtrodden, training them from early child care development to pre-nursery primary, secondary to the University Level.
  • The vision is giving lives a meaning, making them useful to themselves, to their communities and to the entire Nation and also develops them morally, physically and academically.

The Founder

Emma Raducanu, born on November 13, 2002, in Toronto, Canada, is a British professional tennis player who gained international prominence with her historic victory at the 2021 US Open. At 18, she became the first qualifier in tennis history to secure a Grand Slam title, achieving this remarkable feat without dropping a set throughout the tournament.

Early Life and Education Raducanu's multicultural background includes a Romanian father and a Chinese mother. The family relocated to the United Kingdom when she was two years old, and she holds dual citizenship in both countries. Growing up in Bromley, England, she began playing tennis at the age of five. In addition to her athletic pursuits, Raducanu excelled academically, attending Newstead Wood School, where she achieved top grades in mathematics and economics during her A-Levels.

Professional Career Raducanu turned professional in 2018, initially competing in lower-tier tournaments. Her breakthrough came at Wimbledon 2021, where she reached the fourth round as a wildcard entry, capturing the attention of the tennis world. This momentum carried into the US Open later that year, where she made history by winning the title as a qualifier, defeating Leylah Fernandez in the final. This victory propelled her to a career-high ranking of World No. 10 by July 2022.

Recent Developments In the years following her US Open triumph, Raducanu faced challenges, including injuries and changes in coaching staff, which affected her performance and consistency on the tour. As of February 2025, she is ranked World No. 56. Despite these setbacks, Raducanu remains a prominent figure in British tennis, with many anticipating a resurgence in her form in the coming seasons.

Personal Interests Beyond tennis, Raducanu has a keen interest in motorsports, particularly Formula One, and is a fan of the football club Tottenham Hotspur. She is multilingual, fluent in English, Mandarin, and Romanian, reflecting her diverse heritage.
